The first published work by graphic designer Nozomi Aoyama, who independently produces little press publications. One image per day, depicting “the shape of the heart.” A perfect circle, planes split and aligned in a row, a triangle piercing a circle, bouncing spheres, circles containing other geometric forms… The shapes of the heart move freely, then come to rest.
The colors produced by risograph printing feature varying densities, subtle misalignments, and delicate overlaps. Like shifts in emotion, no two prints are ever the same. The book’s main body is bag-bound and printed in risograph, finished with a cloth-bound hardcover and foil stamping. It brings together luxurious bookbinding with economical printing methods. Three special risograph prints are included as inserts.
