おはしと (o hashi to)
Hikita Chisato
I took pictures of places with hashi (chopsticks) and situations that seemed to have hashi, and summarised it in a zine called "ohashi_to". This time, I took a picture from 2023 to the first half of 2024, a places with Japanese hashi. I also go to restaurants where you can eat local food from East Asia and Southeast Asia. Even if the hashi itself is not pictured, you can be sure that there will be a hashi in these shops.
In 2023, I visited L.A. and also photographed the places with hashi in the United States. Japanese food is popular there, and there are Chinese people living in the United States for a long time in Chinatown, and they opened variety of shops. I felt like I was also gaining citizenship. If possible, I would like to stay longer and discover how the immigrants kept their cultures with the hashi and how they have maintained their daily lives with the hashi.
